Your data

We collect almost nothing, and here is the list

No analytics, and nothing about you is sold. We now advertise on Instagram and Facebook, so one outside tool, Meta's pixel, can note your visit, but only if you say yes. Say no and it never loads. What follows is the complete inventory, not a summary.

Two things that are not ours

These pages load their two typefaces from Google Fonts. To send you a font, Google receives your IP address and your browser type — the same information any website you visit receives. It sets no cookie and Google states it does not use these requests for advertising. We name it because this page claims to be a complete inventory, and it would not be complete without it.

Meta's pixel, only if you say yes

We advertise our books on Instagram and Facebook. If you choose Allow on the small notice at the bottom of the page, the site loads Meta's pixel, a script from Meta. It tells Meta that you visited, which pages you viewed, and whether you asked for the free cards. On these pages it never sends Meta your email address. Meta uses this to show our ads to people more likely to want them, and to tell us roughly how many visitors an ad brought. The pixel sets Meta's cookies, and Meta handles that data under its own privacy policy. Choose No thanks and it never loads. Your choice is remembered on your device, and you can change it any time from Ad tracking choice at the bottom of the page. Our store pages on Payhip run the same pixel to count visits, checkouts and purchases; what Payhip shares with Meta at checkout is covered by Payhip's policy.

This website

Sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no heatmap and no session recorder. The one optional piece is Meta's pixel, described above, which is why the site now asks you once before loading it. The server keeps ordinary web logs of requests for a short time so that we can tell whether the site is up; those are not linked to a person and are not used for marketing.

If you join the email list

We store your email address and the date you joined. That is all. We do not store your IP address, your browser, your country or where you clicked from. The address is used to send you a short email when a volume ships, and for nothing else. It is never sold, rented, traded or shared. To leave, write to hello@stillambitious.shop and say "remove me" — we take the address out the same day. Once we begin sending, every email will also carry a one-click unsubscribe link.

If you buy something

The payment is handled by Payhip, with Stripe or PayPal processing the card. We never see your card number. It does not pass through this website; the payment page belongs to them. From a purchase we receive your name, your email address, the country you bought from, and what you bought — the information needed to send you the files, issue a receipt, honour a refund and account for sales tax.

Those companies have their own privacy policies, which govern what they do with the data they collect: Payhip, Stripe, PayPal.

The files you download

The animated edition, the PDF and the EPUB are ordinary files that live on your device. They contain no tracking of any kind — no phone-home, no analytics, no licence check. Once downloaded they work with the internet switched off, and we cannot tell whether or when you opened them.

How long we keep things

  • Email list: until you leave, then deleted.
  • Purchase records: as long as tax law requires us to keep them, then deleted.
  • Support emails: kept while a question is open, and cleared out periodically after.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, and we will do it — no form, no verification hoop beyond confirming you control the address. Write to hello@stillambitious.shop. If you are in the UK or EU, this is your right of access, rectification and erasure under the GDPR; the lawful basis for the email list is your consent, and for purchase records it is the contract between us and our legal obligation to keep tax records.

Children

The book is written so a twelve-year-old can read it, but the shop is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If a child has joined the email list, write to us and we will remove the address.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. We will not quietly start collecting something and leave this page as it was.
